Dimensions: manufacturer-documented

Length, height and thickness come from the linked documents: at least two agreeing sources, including at least one from the manufacturer. They were not read from the render.

Both manufacturer sources are the same MSI datasheet, hosted by reichelt and by Best Buy. Altex repeats the datasheet text; GigaParts states the same triple in inches.

The CAD record uses MSI’s model name G5070-12V2C. The MSI datasheet is titled “MSI GeForce RTX 5070 12G VENTUS 2X OC (G5070-12V2C)”, which binds it to the catalogue model RTX 5070 12G VENTUS 2X OC.

We read the documented length as running from the inner face of the mounting bracket to the far end of the card; that is our reading, not a manufacturer statement. In our model the bracket plate and its screw tab sit outside that length (our modelling convention). Our model’s bracket and screw tab add about 10 mm to the length (approximate).

Positions: estimated, not measured

The power socket and circuit board (PCB) positions below are estimates. Each is shown with its uncertainty in millimetres (±mm).

  • 16-pin (12V-2x6) power socket: position and facing direction: Estimated, ±5 mm overall (±2.5 mm along the length, ±2.5 mm in height, ±4 mm across the thickness). Centre about 134.5 mm from the bracket’s inner face, 123.5 mm above the PCIe contact edge and 7 mm from the backplate side; it faces the top edge. Estimated from reference images scaled to the documented dimensions.
  • Circuit board (PCB) mid-plane across the card’s thickness: Estimated, ±2.5 mm: about 2.4 mm from the backplate side. Estimated from reference images scaled to the documented dimensions.

PCIe connector: follows the PCI Express standard

The PCIe edge connector’s key is placed 58.19 mm from the bracket’s inner face, following the PCI Express CEM r2.0 standard figures, not measured on this card. PCI Express CEM r2.0 figures 6-2 and 6-4: 59.05 mm from the bracket’s outer face to the key centre, minus the 0.86 mm bracket plate.

Edge connector form: drawn full length (x16 form) because two retailer listings (LDLC and Microdistri) state a PCI Express 5.0 x16 interface; MSI’s datasheet says only “PCI Express Gen 5”. It was not measured.

Appearance: approximate

  • Colours, fan sizes, blade counts, heatsink fins and surface details are approximations drawn from reference images, not specifications.

  • The number of heatpipes drawn is an appearance estimate.
